Seasons

It was that year
When I couldn’t face my fear
To leave that person or not?
The idea of you in my thought

Your heart as warm as summer
When I was down you made me better
Telling me not to give up but to go on
Your kindness, I’m always fond

But like autumn, my heart breaks
So frequently, a smile I fake
Every time you talk to someone
My light fades with the setting sun

When you’re around it feels like winter
The cold hurt me like splinters
I just can’t understand my mixed emotions
Why I look everywhere for you with caution

When you’re gone it’s just not spring
I’ll remember the good thing
The little times we continued spending
And I’m always wondering what you’re doing

There are many sides to you
You’re good but have weaknesses too
But it’s confusing for me
I don’t know why you’re all I see

No matter what happens
Even if we remain just friends
For certain, I’ll definitely find reasons
To be with you, in all seasons…
