A Sunday with You
In a sunny spot on Sunday
It’s an ordinary Sunday like any other day
I quietly pray that this lasts forever…
And you’ll keep chatting and be with me forever and ever.
"What do you like so much about me?"
That’s a hard question you’ve just asked me.
I love your fully blooming smile
Even seeing it every day isn’t enough by a mile
But there’s so, so, so much more than that
I can’t really describe it properly, it’s sad
But to me you’re like an angelic dove
And I don’t think we need a reason to fall in love
That part’s a mystery to me
I’m uncertain so please forgive me.
Sadness and pain and bloodshed
Of course life brings all kinds of things like that
But just your casual “hang in there”
Gives me strength from toe to hair
Even if the scenery we can see from the window turns coarse
You’ll be by my side and I’ll be by yours.
Even those worn-out words, “I love you”,
Take on a wonderful new meaning so true
When I use them to express my love for you
They’re words for you and only you.
