Thankful
What else is there for me to say,
Although my life is always so burdened,
I spend all my days here the same way,
Chilling out, relaxed and unconcerned.
There are so many things to do,
And on how to do them I’ve no clue,
It took only a second for me to see,
A lot of them is impossible for me,
It’s totally overwhelming,
They just keep coming,
but I’m always ready to do what I can,
I’ll do it for those I call ‘friend’,
Because everyone has a smile on their face,
Giving me time and my own space.
I may not say it very often,
but I really am grateful for my friends,
When they’re around my heart softens,
That wall of loneliness bends.
The time we spend together is so special,
I could never replace any of them,
Every single one of you; so crucial,
Holding me up, you’re like my stem.
We’ve got this moment, we’ve got each other,
Stopping, standing and laughing together,
I’m so thankful, I could cry,
Cherishing every detail as time flies by.
This feeling is so wonderful,
Now my monotone life seems so colourful,
It makes today seem like a wild dream,
Where in bliss we would beam.
I promise you, I’ll never forget it, my precious ones,
Who laugh with me, support me, talk to me,
The many things we share together, there are tonnes,
All of you broke my shackles and set me free.
You make everything out of nothing.
